At eleven years of age I repented of my sin, turned to Christ in faith, trusting in his work on the cross for the forgiveness of sin and new birth into the kingdom of God. Most certainly the single most important testimony after my conversion to Christ has been my marriage in 1975 to Susan Day, In 1975 we moved to York and I began work as a school teacher in the York Public Schools. Soon after arriving we began attending York Street Baptist Church. Attendance quickly gave rise to service. In 1978 we volunteered to work at a Christian youth camp in Mechanic Falls, Maine and understood that God was calling me to full time service. In 1980 I enrolled in seminary, worked as an Assistant Pastor in Saranac, Michigan and then returned to assist in the ministry of my home church in York. As I was teaching on missions, I understood that God was calling me to serve as a missionary. The next 18 years were in obedience to that call. While on home service in 2008 circumstances at my home church made it clear that God was directing to leave missionary status and return to York and pastor that church for the next 9 years. And now He has lead Susan and me here to First Baptist of Bath.
Interests: playing several instruments including the bass guitar and am currently learning to play the ukulele. Flying is of great interest with attainment of both a Philippine ( 2005) and USA (2014) Sport Pilot License. Grandchildren in the Brunswick and Topsham ME area, a camp in Pittsburg NH and concert going at the conservatories in Boston have provided enjoyment, retreat and enrichment in recent years. My wife and I have remained active in missionary involvement leading and visiting teams.
