Prayers
Prayer, be it private or cooperate, is an intimate conversation with God. It starts with worshiping and acknowledging God is the higher power in our lives. Next, we thank God for the things He has done for us. Then we ask for His help with our needs full knowing he will help us.
And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words.
Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him.
Matthew 6:5-8 NKJV
Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
1 Timothy 2:1-4 NKJV

Prayer invites us to look beyond ourselves. We begin by lifting others before God, asking that His wisdom guide those in authority. In doing so, we learn to trust Him with our own concerns, finding peace in His faithful care.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;
Philippians 4:6 NKJV
Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.
Mark 11:24 NKJV
In this manner, therefore, pray:
Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors.
And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
Matthew 6:9-13 NKJV

Pray without ceasing,
1 Thessalonians 5:17 NKJV
We pray to God knowing He knows what is best for us. We pray knowing He will answer in His perfect wisdom, not our human wisdom.
If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.
John 15:7 NKJV
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
John 3:16 NKJV
Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.
Matthew 11:28-30 NKJV

We were dead in our trespasses and sin. Religion couldn’t help us. New resolutions to change couldn’t help us.
Jesus, the baby born of a virgin in Bethlehem, was the Son of God. He did what we couldn’t do. He lived a righteous life that pleased God. Still, he got crucified on a cross under the curse of sin.
He did that for us. He died in our place.
But Jesus was raised from the grave to offer new life in his Spirit. Jesus gives this new life to all who call upon him in faith.
Looking for hope? Peace? A way to lift the weight from your shoulders? Tell us how we can pray for you, and we’ll lift your requests up together.
